Mons Sana was founded by Dr. Clarence "Lance" Cutsforth to close a gap that shows up after treatment ends: the long, unglamorous work of decompression, peer community, family repair, and the slow reconstruction of purpose. Too many veterans, service members, and first responders complete a program and go home to the same isolation that existed before it.
Mons Sana is different by design: a community that stays. Guides, peer connection, animal-assisted work, and shared meals create the kind of safety that clinical treatment alone can't provide, and a permanent campus means that community has a lasting home, not just a retreat weekend.
We operate as a nonprofit, reflecting the belief that durable healing has to honor the whole person: body, mind, spirit, family, and community.

Mons Sana provides a community-centered pathway that's intentionally broader than a single modality or short-term event, built around three pillars of wellness that work together.
